Information Technology Training for People with Disabilities
Disability & Rehabilitation Series, v.4
Author:
M. Floyd
Abstract:
There is a general consensus that for disabled people to share
in the benefits that information technology (IT) may bring to
their lives, they would need to be provided with much better
training than had previously been available to them.
This book focus on the possibilities and opportunities now available:
Part I explore the issues that need to be addressed if the impact
of IT on disabled people is to be as positive as possible (it
includes a chapter about models of IT training for people with
disabilities); Part II presents detailed case studies of particular
initiatives in this field.
