Author: Simon J. Richardson, David F. Poulson
Abstract: The paper reports the results of survey activities carried out with TIDE projects and developers as part of the TIDE User Horizontal Action. User studies indicate a real need for help to ensure an effective match between user requirements and the technology or service being developed.
The objectives are to make accessible to product developers appropriate methods, tools, techniques which they can use effectively and economically to elict, describe and evaluate usability and usability requirements. Further, to establish a network of key actors, the USER Corresponding Committee (UCC) as a basis for the long term development of information flow within Europe on the usability and acceptability of RT/AT.
