Abstract:
The paper aims to identify user requirements for disabled and
elderly people in relation to smart card technology. For this
purpose, in-depth individual interviews were conducted in the
U.K. with 103 people, including samples of those with visual,
upper and lower limb disabilities, elderly people and a control
sample of able-bodied people for comparison purposes.
Based on the results of the interviews, requirements for smart
card system design and implementation are derived.
